From AI prototype to production
You used Base44, Lovable, Bolt or a chat assistant to build something real. Now it needs sign-in that is secure, payments that work and hosting that stays up. We take it from there. Only have the idea so far? We start you with a mockup worth showing people.
Built with one of these, or something like it? Send us the link.
Pick the door that matches where you are.
Three ways to start. Every one of them ends with something real you can show, test or launch.
Validate
A clickable mockup worth showing people.
You have an idea and want to test it with customers, partners or investors before spending real money on a build.
- A clickable mockup of the core screens, on a link you can share
- A one-page product brief: who it is for, what it does first, what it leaves out
- An honest feasibility read and a build estimate you can plan around
Typically one to two weeks
Fixed price, agreed before we start
Take over
We pick up where the AI builder stopped.
You built something with Base44, Lovable, Bolt, v0, Replit or a chat assistant, and you have hit a wall: logins, payments, data, deployment, or the platform's limits.
- A free prototype review: what is solid, what is risky, what it would take to launch
- A written plan with one of three routes: finish on the platform, move the code to a proper stack, or rebuild the core properly
- The build itself, in weekly increments you can click, with your code in your own repository
Review within two business days, plan within a week
Review is free, build is fixed price or capped
Build and run
A real product on your own domain.
You want the whole thing done properly: accounts, payments, admin, hosting, monitoring, and someone to keep it running after launch.
- A production web application on your domain, with secure sign-in, Stripe payments and the admin tools you need to support users
- AI features that earn their keep, built the way we build them in our own products
- Hosting, monitoring, backups and ongoing improvements, for as long as you want us around
First version in weeks, not months, shipped weekly
Fixed price or capped build, then an optional monthly run rate
AI app builders are the best thing to happen to people with ideas in years. In an afternoon you can turn a thought into screens you can click, and that is genuinely useful: it proves the idea to you and lets you show it to others. Then the hard part arrives. Logins behave strangely, data ends up where it should not, the platform cannot do the one thing your customers need, and nobody can tell you whether it is safe to put real users on it.
Corvidae takes AI-built prototypes the rest of the way. We review what you have, tell you plainly what is solid and what is not, and then finish it, move it, or rebuild the core properly, with your code in your own repository. If you have not built anything yet, we start with a clickable mockup and a straight answer on what it would take.
Who it is for
- Founders and business owners who built a prototype with Base44, Lovable, Bolt, v0, Replit or a chat assistant and hit the limit of what they can do alone
- People with an idea who want a mockup to test with customers or investors before committing to a full build
- Small businesses with an internal tool generated by AI that now has real users and real data in it
- Anyone who paid for a build elsewhere and was left with something that almost works
- Technical founders who got a long way with AI tools and now want senior engineers to harden what they made
Problems we solve
- Sign-in, permissions and data access that look fine in a demo and leak in production
- Payments, email, file uploads or integrations the platform cannot do, or can only do with a workaround
- A prototype that lives on a vendor's subdomain with no way to get the code, data or users out
- Platform credit bills climbing while progress slows down
- No clear answer to the question: is this safe to launch, and what would it cost to make it so
- An idea with no way to show it to anyone yet
What we build
What the AI builder gave you, and what it did not
An AI app builder is very good at the visible part: screens, forms, lists, the flow a user clicks through. It is much weaker at the parts nobody sees until they fail. In the prototypes we review, the same gaps appear again and again:
- sign-in and permissions that let one user see another user's data
- secrets and API keys shipped to the browser
- no real database design, so reports and exports become impossible later
- payments stubbed or missing, because the platform cannot take money the way your business needs
- no backups, no monitoring, and no way to run it on your own domain with your own data
The free prototype review
Send us the link to your Base44, Lovable or Bolt app, or a screen recording, with a few lines on who it is for. Within two business days you get a short written review covering three things: what is solid and worth keeping, what is risky and why, and what it would take to launch. No charge, no obligation, and no judgement about how it was built.
Three routes from here
- Finish on the platform: when the prototype is close and the platform can carry it, we fix what is broken, add what is missing and help you launch where you are
- Move the code: when the platform lets you export the code, we bring it into a proper stack, add real authentication, payments and hosting, and put it on your domain
- Rebuild the core: when the foundations will not hold, we keep your screens and flows as the specification and rebuild the product properly, usually faster than the first build because the thinking is already done
Mockups to validate an idea
If you have the idea and nothing else, a mockup is the cheapest way to find out whether it is worth building. We turn your idea into clickable screens on a link you can share, a one-page brief that says who it is for and what it does first, and an honest estimate for the build. Show it to ten people before you spend on the first line of code.
Anything on top
- AI features that earn their keep: document reading, drafting, image recognition, chat over your own data
- Stripe payments, one-off or subscription, with invoices and receipts
- Admin tools so you can support users without asking a developer
- Hosting, monitoring, backups and a monthly run rate so it stays up after launch
- A mobile-ready progressive web app that installs on a phone without an app store

How we deliver
Review
Send the link. Within two business days you get a written read on what is solid, what is risky and what it would take to launch. Free.
Plan
A one-page plan with the route we recommend, a fixed price or cap, and what you will be able to click each week.
Finish
We fix, move or rebuild, shipping a working version every week to a link you can test. Your code lives in your own repository from day one.
Launch and run
Your domain, your data, real payments, monitoring and backups. Stay with us on a monthly run rate, or take it in house. Either is fine.
Production proof
We build our own nine products with AI coding tools every day, so we know exactly where they shine and where they quietly leave gaps.
Corvidae builds and operates its own production SaaS products, so architecture decisions are made with real operating cost, uptime, security, support and users in mind.
Security and quality
- Every takeover starts with a security read: who can see what, where secrets live, and what happens to your data
- Sign-in, permissions and payments are rebuilt on proven libraries, never left as generated code nobody has read
- Your code lives in a repository you own from the first week, so you are never locked in to us or to a platform
- Automated deploys, monitoring and backups before launch, not after the first incident
- The review is free, and if a prototype is not worth saving we say so in writing rather than selling you a rebuild
Engagement model
The prototype review is free. From there, Validate (a mockup and brief) and Take over (finish, move or rebuild) are fixed price or capped, agreed in writing before we start. You see a working version every week, so there are no surprises at the end.
After launch, most clients keep us on a monthly run rate that covers hosting, monitoring, backups and a steady stream of improvements. Others take it in house with a handover. Either way the code, data and infrastructure are yours.
Frequently asked questions
Can you take over an app I built with Base44, Lovable or Bolt?
Yes. Send us the share link or export, and we review it for free. Depending on what we find, we finish it on the platform, move the code into a proper stack, or rebuild the core using your prototype as the specification.
Do I have to start again from scratch?
Usually not entirely. The screens, flows and decisions you made are the expensive part of product work, and they carry over. What often needs rebuilding is the invisible part: sign-in, permissions, data design, payments and deployment.
How do I know if my prototype is safe to launch?
You do not, until someone reads it. That is what the free review is for. We check who can see what, where secrets and keys live, how data is stored, and whether the platform can carry real users and real money.
What does it cost?
The review is free. Mockups and takeovers are fixed price or capped, agreed in writing before we start. We give you the number after the review, when we actually know what is involved, rather than guessing up front.
I only have an idea. Can you still help?
Yes. We start with a clickable mockup and a one-page brief you can put in front of customers or investors, plus an honest estimate for the real build. Many people find that is all they need to decide.
Will I own the code?
Yes. Your code lives in a repository you own from the first week, along with the infrastructure and data. If you stop working with us, you keep everything.
Can you keep running it after launch?
Yes. We run nine products of our own in production every day, so hosting, monitoring, backups and support are things we already do. It is optional, and you can take it in house at any time.
Do you work with people outside New Zealand?
Yes. We are based in Auckland and work with clients worldwide over video calls and shared links. Time zones have never been a problem for a weekly-increment build.
Have a product in mind?
Tell us what you want to build. We reply within one business day with an honest read on scope, cost and timeline.
